According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, Turkey is ready to hold another round of tripartite negotiations on ending the war between Ukraine and Russia, mediated by the United States. He stated this on the X social network after a phone call with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, reports TASR.
“The president noted that Turkey is ready to hold another round of talks in a trilateral format. We appreciate this initiative and hope it will bring results,” wrote Zelenskyi. According to him, the United States proposed that the talks take place next week, but everything depends on the development of the situation in the Middle East
Trilateral negotiations between the delegations of Ukraine, Russia and the USA were held last in Geneva and Abu Dhabi. Earlier, the negotiators met in Istanbul, Turkey. The presidents of Turkey and Ukraine also discussed the development of the situation in Iran. Zelenskyy again declared that Kiev is ready to provide its experience in the fight against drones. This week, according to him, Ukrainian experts will arrive in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
“When it comes to repelling massive attacks by martyrs, only Ukrainian experience can really help today,” he said, referring to Iranian-made drones used by Russia in the fight against Ukraine. “However, at the same time, Ukraine needs to strengthen its own air defense, and we count on adequate support from our partners,” Zelensky added.
