Munich/Innsbruck – The social democratic German politician Carstenträger has died. The Bavarian SPD announced this on Sunday “with deep sadness,” according to the AFP news agency. Carrier was a member of the Bundestag for years and has been Parliamentary State Secretary at the German Environment Ministry since May 2025. According to German media reports, the 52-year-old had a skiing accident in Tyrol on Saturday. He was therefore taken to an Innsbruck clinic, where he collapsed and died.
