Journalists interested in following international negotiations on climate change can apply for the Para (climate change conference) reporting grant. Registration is open until June 17th.
Promoted by and by , the initiative will select professionals from developing countries to cover the event in person, which will be held from November 9th to 20th, 2026, in Antalya, in .
The scholarship covers air tickets, accommodation, food, travel insurance, local transportation and support for press accreditation. Participants will also receive stipends for incidental expenses and will have access to training, mentoring and editorial resources focused on climate coverage.
Professional journalists linked to media outlets based in eligible countries can apply. Candidates cannot have participated in person at a Conference of the Parties to the
Interested parties must demonstrate experience in covering climate change and present an agenda proposal for COP31. It is necessary to send an updated CV, three recent works on the topic and a letter of support from an editor or person responsible for the vehicle committing to publish the material produced during the scholarship.
According to the organizers, the selection will take into account the candidates’ experience in climate coverage, the quality of the proposals presented and the geographic diversity of the participants.
