Secret nuclear tests of China and Russia?! The Kremlin revealed the truth

The Kremlin on Wednesday denied claims by the United States last month that China and Russia had conducted secret nuclear tests in recent years. TASR informs about it according to a Reuters report.

  • The Kremlin has denied US accusations of secret nuclear tests by Russia and China.
  • The United States has accused China of a nuclear test in 2020.
  • The Kremlin spokesman said that China also denied the allegations.
  • The US has called for a broader arms control treaty involving China and Russia.
  • The validity of the New START treaty expired on February 5.

“We heard a lot of mentions of certain tests. Both the Russian Federation and China were mentioned in this context. Neither the Russian Federation nor China have conducted any nuclear tests,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters. “We also know that the representative of the People’s Republic of China has categorically denied these allegations,” he added.

The United States this month again accused Beijing of conducting a secret nuclear test in 2020 and called for a new, broader arms control treaty that would include both China and Russia. US President Donald Trump is trying to include Beijing in negotiations to replace the New START nuclear arms control treaty, which expired on February 5.
