Iranian parliament speaker says he will attack targets in the region if the country’s power plants are hit by the US
The president of Iran’s parliament, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, stated this Sunday (22 March 2026), in a post on X, that the critical, energy and oil infrastructure of the Middle East will be considered “legitimate target and irreversibly destroyed” if Iran’s power plants and infrastructure are targeted by the United States.

The bombings killed the then supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
